Introduce Yourself : Comic and Graphic Novel Publisher by Shaun Keenan

Shaun Keenan

Comic and Graphic Novel Publisher

Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to do a quick post to say G'day from Australia and talk a little about what we do. COMICS2MOVIES is the business I own and we produce comics and graphic novels. This year we opened our publishing wing and are creating and producing works with actors, screenwriters and authors to show their story in a comic or graphic novel format.

Would love to connect with anyone that would love to show a proof of concept for their story, idea or script in this format and collaborate.

Look froward to seeing what all the amazing people on here are doing and I hope you enjoy our little sizzle reel on the projects we have created so far.

Regards

Shaun Keenan

Hi Shaun, I'm a comic collector. Is there a comic con in Australia?

Allen Lynch

Very cool showreel.

Hi Shaun,

I have a feature screenplay + graphic art for grindhouse/manga The Gavel:.

Drawings by Joshua Chinsky (https://crudecomicsinc.com/)

Logline: "Identical twin sisters who moonlight as violent vigilantes must outwit a vengeful copycat who framed them for murdering students on a college campus in Austin, Texas."

Right now the screenplay lays at Chris Amell's office, who found it on Script Revolution. I guess with a few screenplays of other writers.

Basicly - from the start - some years ago - this has always been a mult-media concept I pitched to Debbie Brubaker and the Twisted Twins. Also, Chris Harden showed me some templates about the costs of making a comic book. But all those numbers just got me confused. Then after I found Jerel Damon, Robert Arthur Jansen''s and my basic concept was made into a screenplay. Now Jerel is waiting for Chris to get back to him.

Hi Shaun Keenan love the video. As well as an author and actor/extra, I am also part of the lounge crew team on this fantastic platform. The blog page is something I recommend, with great tips for writers and anyone in the movie business. https://www.stage32.com/blog! Good luck with all your projects.

Hello Shaun! As a lifelong fan of graphic novels, my screenplays are based around concepts that subvert or twist the superhero genre. I would love to collaborate!

Marcos Fizzotti

Very cool video!

It's great to see you again, Shaun Keenan. Congratulations on opening a publishing wing! Incredible sizzle reel!

"Would love to connect with anyone that would love to show a proof of concept for their story, idea or script in this format and collaborate." What does a writer need to do to work with COMICS2MOVIES?

Hi, Shaun. Pleased to meet you. I am also fond of creating graphics and various original images. And I want to become a real professional in the field of web design. And of course, I want to use only the best practices and tools in my work. I've never worked with SVG graphics, but I've heard of this format. And I want to embed a few pictures in my project that I downloaded from the site https://masterbundles.com/stock-content/vector/animal-svg/ to create a more modern interface. What image format are you working with? What services do you use in your work? I'm interested in your opinion. I will be glad for feedback.

Hi @Shaun I’ve a vintage noir I’d like a graphic novel of.

Hi Shaun, I have been thinking about converting one of my screenplays into a graphic format for many years (I know it can be pricey). My co-written script entitled "The Crooked Cross" is a crossover between MAUS meets Sin City and I think a graphic format is the perfect way to present it/prototype it. Do you also promote this as well or is it solely the graphic portion that you do? Nice to meet you!
