I just received this notice from the 2023 Tagore International Film Festival about my screenplay "The Post Office" which is based on a short play by Rabindranath Tagore now in the Public Domain.

Logline: Amal is a terminally ill 8 year-old girl who has the gift of inspiring excitement and wonder in the mundane lives of those around her. The Mayor of the town accuses Amal's uncle of fabricating her illness to gain sympathy; he considers her impudent, and is determined to expose her.
The Post Office was also chosen Best Spiritual Screenplay at the 2012 European Spiritual Film Festival; Official selection at the 2011 Mexico International Film Festival; Finalist in the 2008 London Independent Film Festival Feature-Length Screenplay Award, UK; Semi-Finalist 2008 Kaos Films British Feature Screenplay Competition, UK; Quarterfinalist Slamdance Screenplay Competition, USA.
