I may be the oldest person here. I have been working on screenplays for 30 years, but finally began submitting to festivals in 2021.
I've had some pretty good success with a few wins and several honorable mentions, runner-ups, semi-finalists, etc. I work mainly in the faith-based space. I wrote a screenplay for hire based on a memoir. It is currently in preproduction.
I also have three screenplays optioned by a production company.
Currently I'm developing a biblical drama TV series called "Age of the Kingdom," which follows several generations of several families during Israel's united monarchy period. In the pilot, home and country are threatened by an invading Philistine army, so a metalsmith must join the fight and a courageous woman must rescue her young orphan nephew from a burning city to keep the religion of Yahweh alive.
