Your Stage : New project to shoot in Boston this summer! by Mirtha Vega

Hi to everyone and happy weekend! I'm Mirtha. I love to tell, read, watch, and listen to good stories. I tend to write thrillers and horror, particularly in the psych genre. But I have a big range sometimes as well.

My last feature film, THE HUMAN SOLUTION, is currently on Amazon Prime. It was a 2021 ReFrame stamp recipient and deals with the still-timely subject of eugenics.

My next film will be set in 2050 America, so it's a timely, albeit dystopian story. I'm looking to shoot this summer in Massachusetts, where I'll be partnering with Women in Film and Video New England to promote more women, bipoc, and lgbtqai+ in the production. This project will have a very diverse cast and everyone (cast and crew - with the possible exception of one or two leads) will be from there. So if you work in film and are from MA, live in MA, or have any connection to the state, please reach out. I'm currently in the process of looking for actors and am seeking those of you in this fantastic Stage 32 community who might be a friend of a friend of someone that's got some production credits under their belts (simply because for an indie film, it's still important). Ages range from mid-20s to early 70s. Mind you, there will be many other roles, but investors like to see a face they recognize or two. Also, anyone looking for a cool investment opportunity (budget will be 850k approx), I'd be happy to send you the pitch deck.
