Hey there, from Lawrence, KS. Went to KU for theater and film. Live in Los Angeles. I'm LGBTQ+. I write comedy and comedy/adventures mostly, with an LGBTQ civil war film (The Man She Was-Final draft 2022 semi-finalist) in my back pocket. Co-wrote/directed award-winning feature comedy "Gone Doggy Gone" with Brandon Walter. Our feature screenplay , "Barry's Body", was a 2021 Quarterfinalist for Bluecat and Page, Semi-finalist for Screencraft & 2nd rounder for Austin Film Fest (2021/2022). We just finished a comedy sci-fi feature, Wendy Miller, now making the screenwriting contest rounds. Hope to see y'all at Austin Film Fest this year!

Kasi, kudos on being a finalist So far I've only written 1 project - Wright Hire, comedy about staffing firm (employment agency. Inside office relationship,/politics, applicants interviewing, some weird client requests,. strange applicants...Have you attended any workshops and if so were they worth it? Great to meet you too! My writing partner and I found an article in the Fort Scott kansas newspaper about a civil war vet named Frank Thompson who was actually Sarah Emma Edmonds. They fought as a spy for the North during the civil war and were the only female born veteran to get a pension from the Civil War. Read their biography, did research and wrote the screenplay. :)
