It is, Carol. It's pretty standard. The reason being they don't want a name attached to the script. It's a way to ensure the writing is judged on its merits alone.

Hi Carol Preflatish! For many competitions, this is standard and I would make a habit of it. Many competitions will also remove title pages to be safe. If it doesn't specifically state not to include your name on the title page and you submit it with your name on it, don't worry, they're not going to disqualify you

I may be a bit paranoid, but my concern is, if your name is nowhere on the script, is it possible it could be stolen?? I do have it copyrighted through the US Copyright office, but not through any of the guilds.

Carlol. US Copyright is the best, I never bothered to enter a contest and never will but I do know some don't want a title page and some don't care. If your name isn't on the title page it wouldn't make it any less secure. Good luck.

If you have it copyrighted Marian Betts, then you're fine, but even without that when you submit you give all your contact info to a contest. There's a trail. You have a confirmation email. If someone were to steal it (which is HIGHLY unlikely - and has never once happened through any Stage 32 contest, I can assure you), you'd be able to prove it.
