TV Drama contest closed - who submitted?

Hey Friends, the TV Drama Contest closed this week! Good luck to all who submitted and would love to hear what script you decided to enter!

Susan Agostinelli

Hello! I submitted the drama of my Great-great Uncle, Blessed Grimoaldo Santamaria of the Purification. It's a coming of age, guy with a problem, true story set in 1902 in the stunning Pontecorvo, Italy. From his early childhood, spending every day in church, until he was finally allowed to go the the seminary, he was mockingly called "The Little Saint". Ironically, the town that mocked him then prayed to him after his early death at 19 years old. He is known the world over for Cancer Miracles now, and needs one more miracle to become a Saint. Can't wait to make it! Best wishes + luck to everyone.

Excited to learn about all the great scripts that were submitted to this contest!

Hello everyone! I submitted a drama based on a novella I wrote several years ago. The screenplay is a character-driven fantasy-noir piece. So far, feedback has been very encouraging and I'm hopeful "The King's Reeve" will strike a chord with the readers. Good luck to everyone and keep writing. :-)

Hello, my drama is a family drama about when my son was signed to a record label at 12 years old and how it affected not only his life but all the people around him, especially our father/son relationship. It focuses on the ups and downs of the music business and it is kind of a coming of age story, as well. This is my first real script but this one means everything to me so, I hope I do it justice. Thanks and good luck to everyone.

My entry is the script for "Made in Louisiana" (the title is an "easter egg" nod to the title of the series finale of The Sopranos, "Made in America"), the pilot episode of my TV series concept, Bayou Noir. What is Bayou Noir, you ask? Simply put, it is an hour long southern gothic serial drama series. My logline for it goes like this::

"The saga of a wealthy and powerful Louisiana French family, as they struggle with familial dysfunction and conflicting agendas, and against enemies human and supernatural — any of which could end them and their 'bayou empire'".

To give a bit more detailed picture, imagine a series that combines the familial dysfunction of Williams and Faulkner, the gothic supernaturalism of Dark Shadows (the original series, not the 2012 movie!), the "shady dealings" of a 21st century Boardwalk Empire, and the high stakes relationships and high intensity passions of The Sopranos in one show, then sets it all down in the Acadiana region of Louisiana (aka "Cajun Country"). The pilot gets the ball rolling with four exciting storylines; three of them season long, the fourth intended to run through the entire series.
