I'm a Producer/Director/Writer/Composer/Serial Entrepreneur looking to put together a new crew for my production company. My idea is to have a crew that knows each other and works well together. Instead of working with newbies for each and every film, I want a crack team that knows what to do and gets the job done. If you're interested in being part of a team - rather than applying for the next gig, send me a message! Thanks

You know you should also have an actress who is in every film and that the crew always knows!! I'd be happy to volunteer to be that actress!! LOL

Great comment Analiese! When I advise actors "don't just audition for the part - claim it", I couldn't have out it better, in practice, than you just did.

Hi Armando, If you have the crew I got the script. If you believe in gun safety, not gun suppression, check out my intro.

Great line: be part of a team instead of applying for a gig.

I'm also a writer/director/producer. I've found that the best way to put a 'team' together is to actually produce stuff, work with people (get them by referral usually) and find the ones that are "gold" to you -- the ones that you absolutely LOVE working with and don't want to work without because they do excellent work, work hard, and are fun to work with. Those people become your team. At least, that's how I've done it.

You should have a screenwriter who will take your ideas and turn them into gold. Or at least make them look great on the page.

Larry...You will LOVE Heather. They don't come any better. And, Heather, Larry is a great guy...
Working with a team as you've described sounds like the right way to do it. I've been lucky enough to work with a close knit team on my last two features and other projects and it makes all the difference. Good luck with it all Armando.
Thanks Andy, I appreciate it.

Why not meet people on Skype if you live in diff cities?
Yeah, Deanna, thats exactly what I was thinking. I'm from marketing so I've used gotomeeting more.
I'm in Davenport, Ia but I was thinking of starting up in NOLA actually. Film tax credits are amazing there and the whole biz is growing everyday!
Where is NOLA?
I've used that too. NOLA is New Orleans, LA. I'm in Los Angeles right now, heading back to New Orleans in Sept for a month. I have lots of contacts there on both sides of the camera.
Ok

Should I say it in pictures or words? Words: Efefiong Akpan is my name. I am a Nigerian screenwriter and documtary film producer. I desire so much to work with international producers and screenwriters, because there are peculiar African stories that need telling ; from the Niger Delta Region, where I come live. Pictures: the media in my home state, Akwa Ibom State is not reporting the increasing legion of unemployed youths. Most spend time drinking illicit alcohol, smoking weed or prostituting despite enormous opportunities endowed us by Nature. I would have loved to document these in shorts or features: dramas or documentaries. I would love to educate youths on available potentials in them and their communities' ecology to enable industry. THERE IS SO MUCH ECOLOGICAL POTENTIALS,DESPITE DESPOLIATION BY OIL CRUDE DRILLING. I dream of making films like 'Girls' Skills,' looking beyond exploitative sexuality to explorative sexuality in females. More so 'The Hooded Boy,' preparing the psyche of males towards industry via upgrading local skills through technology. I am sure someone out there understands me. Okay I hold. Bachelor of Arts(Communication Arts and Music) Degree. So what? I could do something with my songwriting and singing talents too? SO HOOK ME UP!
