Hi everyone my name is Glen from Melbourne Australia (yes the worlds most lockdown city) but we are back and the film production industry is starting to open up again with many international stars arriving in Australia to film some amazing major features. I am a small time screen writer but luckily I have great friends/contacts not boasting but Eric Bana and Guy Pearce live close by and we often catch-up. I'm posting to introduce myself even though I have been a Stage 32 member for many years. I just wanted update goal was always to work in films and video. Now, I have finally lit a fire under my bottom and become actively involved in getting my career up and running. Recently I have Produced and voiced three PSA for Radio that are airing on three stations in Roswell, NM, I have been an apprentice Director for a short film, Audio engineer and assistant editor on a 24 hour film race and editor/producer on the most recent 48hour film project for Denver, CO. I am in talks to direct and edit a music video and am actively looking for my next new project. My background is 20 years in television with my last gig at KCBS in Los Angeles as a news editor and in the beginning of my career I was in Radio for 5 years. I have always loved doing commercials and voice over work as well as editing so it was a natural transition for me to do them as a freelancer. I am hopeful for the future and know that because I am a part of this amazing group on Stage 32 that the sky is the limit.

Thanks Joleene for your generosity and insightful wisdom. I really appreciate the help. I’ve been a member for awhile but really wasn’t ready to really be serious about my career until now. What has changed you may?? I stopped listening to others and my negative self talk. I would love to contribute to your blog as soon as I get a chance and lastly you have inspired me as I come from the same background of television back in the late 70’s behind the camera. I have always wanted to be on the other side and write as well so it is good to see others who are following there dreams. Thanks.
