About Alexandra

Alexandra Hsie is a line producer and screenwriter with almost a decade of producing experience and five years in screenwriting. Her experience as a producer spans agency production and line producing for branded content, editorial, digital photo, and an indie feature film. While at agency, she worked with clients such as Hasbro, Nexium, Pringles, TJ Maxx, and Pfizer across all types of media, including live-action, animated, and digital. During her time at NYLON, a digital publisher, Alexandra deep-dived into line producing video and photo shoots with celebrities such as Kehlani, Kiernan Shipka, Sasha Fierce, Lena Waithe, and Samira Wiley. Intimately familiar with producing on tight budgets, Alexandra is a stickler for best practices while keeping projects on time and under budget.

As a writer, Alexandra won the 2015 Scriptapalooza 1 Hour Category competition with her spec script for The Walking Dead and is currently in a writers' room for an indie television pilot. Her short film that she directed, wrote and produced, titled Delivering, premiered at the New York Short Film Festival, screened at the NYWIFT Fall Shorts Festival, and was a Finalist in the New York Film & TV Festival. She is in the process of developing her own kids animated television series titled Beat City.

In 2020, Alexandra founded “Coaching with Alex,” a productivity coaching business for creative professionals centered around holding creatives accountable to their business, creative, and personal goals. She is based in NYC and has worked across the United States.
