Michael Morlan

Hi there, I’m a director of photography, union camera operator, and storyteller looking for technically challenging projects with heart and intelligence. As of mid-2011, I have finished fourteen feature films including five as director of photography, eleven as operator, and three as gaffer/lighting director. My credits include numerous commercials, music videos, short form narratives, and the 2008 Oscar nominated documentary “Operation Homecoming: Writing the Wartime Experience.” Some of the ways I've been described on set are "focused, efficient, supportive, collaborative."

A couple of my most recent feature projects were the multi-camera horror actioner "Boneboys", for which I served as b-camera operator, and “A Swingin’ Trio”, a tight apartment drama which I had the pleasure of photographing for director, Kelvin Phillips.
