Kalifer Deil - Writer, mostly Hard Science Fiction

I've been mostly writing very short SCI-FI stories for a SciFi microstory contest group on GoodReads. For the bulk of waking hours, I've been working as a computer geek. I do have a small body of work that I would like to put on screen but need to connect with the right producer that likes hard scie...

Audition websites

Hello fellow artists! I'm wondering if any of you have recommendations on legit sites to find auditions/receive casting calls? I made an account with Actors Access, and also have been using auditionsfree.com. I considered signing up for Backstage but I'm not sure (yet) how credible they are! Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Angela Allen

Thank you for asking this as it is my questions as well. I wish you Great Luck Alanna!!!

I did not find backstage beneficial at all when I lived in LA. Every single posting that was supposedly paid, was not. and when I contacted backstage they didn't care. IMO, backstage is a waste of mon...

My own introduction!

I am nearly done with a degree in Creative Writing, and like to write! I'm working on some projects produced through school assignments to show off at some point and see if anyone's interested. I really like the idea of webisodes coupled with transmedia efforts to bring people into the world and cha...

Hi fellow Belmontian. Are you interested in joining a writers group that meets in Belmont every 4th Friday at 3:00PM at the Belmont Community center?

Matt Fleming

I wish I could, but I work until 5 during the week and, sadly, my schedule isn't too flexible.

Richard "RB" Botto

Welcome, Matt! Great to have you here!

Tony Green

Hi Matt, Welcome! If you are quick you can still grab a free subscription to WriteItPro, the on-line creative writing application that I have designed and built to help people who like writing and need something that helps make the process easier.

Matt.. Welcome to Stage 32. I'd be interested in discussing our ground breaking TV/web series concept with you which is still evolving. I'll send you a PM . We're here in Mill Valley though the team is spread across the nation

Wrote a play on Ray kurzweil notions of eternal life using brain uploading

My play "Flight of the Soul" is in my profile but I made the mistake of putting the scenes on in order so they show up in reverse order. I put in the last scene to tick off TV evangelist preachers. So far that last part works better than the rest in arousing emotions. The performers were Apple Engin...

Hello and happy REELing

Hi All, finally got around to saying hello and posting some audio "REELS." The term REEL for an audio play seems far more dated than for a video but there it is dated also. I bought a 126Gbyte memory stick the size of my little finger that will hold 200 audio CDs and over half that amount of DVDs. P...

There are 1 tb thumb drives made for about a year now

Kalifer Deil

And it is the size of a thumb, not a little finger and cost $1700. The 256GB is still little finger size but cost $380. I guess my point was REELs are now ancient artifacts ready for employment in steam-punk movie sets.
