After receiving a Broadcast Journalism degree from Arizona State University in 2001, Andrea M. Magwood began her film career. She immediately started out as a production assistant on the independent feature film "Pledge or Die". This would lead to
her directing her first short film "Like Mother...", which would win Best Short Film at the 2004 Arizona Black Filmmakers Showcase.
Years later while volunteering at Phoenix Channel 11, she realized a newfound passion in producing. She would go on to produce the award winning short "Second Chance", directed and written by Lee Quarrie.
While her seventh short film, "The Last Responders", is making its way through the film festival circuit, she is in development for her first feature film, to begin filming in Fall 2015.
