Sunny Nash, writer of frontier history, is author of a book of vignettes about life with her part-Comanche grandmother during the Civil Rights Movement, Bigmama Didn't Shop At Woolworth's, which she will option for movies and television. The Association of American University Presses honored the book as a resource to understanding U.S. race relations. Nash is currently writing her second book for Texas A&M University Press about black pioneers.
