About Melody

Melody’s mother was a drama teacher so she grew up in the wings. Writing & acting out plays with her brother & sister since grade school, her first performances were in Jr High in Oklahoma City. She went on to study Acting and Directing at the University of Oklahoma, then moved to Dallas & graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas. Melody’s professional career started at the Gaslight Dinner Theatre and then went on to film, television and commercial, voice over & industrial work into the 1980’s. After her twins were born she took up the counseling profession and was licensed in 1990. It was then she discovered her model for understanding human relationships, and authored, two books. To give better talks on her books Melody took an improv class, leading to her first Theatrical role since college at the Greater Lewisville Community Theatre. Next was film work, starting with “Lucky Day” and then “Portrait of an American Family”, "Sister's Four", "The Art of Killing Bigfoot" and "Blissful Lies". Melody is now represented by The Linicomn Agency in Dallas, and Landrum ARTS in Louisiana. In addition, Melody was on the radio at Party934 for two years doing “OH WOW This changes everything” relationship show, followed by a year and a half doing WAKE UP CALL on Women’s Radio. Since her focus has been more and more on Independant Film scene, Indie View is a natural progression of her work as a host and film producer.
