It's a cop/family drama, full of interesting twists and turns, and a conclusion that will break your heart. Here's my question: How do I get this project in front of producers who would be interested in looking at it hard? It's going to be a relatively low cost film, so budget shouldn't be a constraint, and actors will fall in love with the chances for their characters to grow and evolve. So how do I get to the next step? I'm told the best thing to do is network, and I get that. Atlanta is full of amazing storytellers, actors, writers, directors and producers. And with events like Get Connected and TPN FilmFest, it should be the easiest thing in history to make a connection that can help move you forward. But I might be very likely the worst socializer in history. Unless it was because of Brent, Lillian,Tessie,or Bobby\, I wouldn't know anyone. Literally, I freeze up and don't know how to start a conversation. Well, I'm going to keep on going. I WILL make this film, and it WILL be a success.

I've been in the business for a couple of years now, and if you check out www.jkicproductions.net, you can see links to some of the shorts we've made in that time. I'm also a podcaster on two separate podcasts on projectiradio.com. One is all about the indie film business and it's called So Not Hollywood. Give it a listen, won't ya? I'm here to find partners to work on getting more films completed. I recently began pre-production on our first SAG film, entitled "Down", a short about the horrors of drugs and how addicts are treated. If you'd like to talk, I'd love to listen!
Thank you guys! I'm hoping to meet people here that we can pitch to. Everything we've done so far has been zero budget, so we'd love to get the chance to actually work with even a small one. I think we can do right with even a small one, given our indie sensibilities.
Welcome!:)
Hi there Jay! I'm a writer interested in comedy and thrillers too, I look forward to seeing some of your stuff!
So, it's been a really long time since I've been back here. Hope to get caught up on all the amazing things everyone's been doing, and maybe, just maybe, pitch a thing or 12.

ready to start
I just want to thank everyone that showed interest in the screenwriting call for Entrapment,
Hi Jacqueline, yes we did.
Working on a couple of scripts. Got my first true horror short finished today, and just last week finished up a very, very intense drama that was probably my best work to date. Let me know if you have any intrest in working together. I firmly believe the best writer is one that works with someone else. You need to be able to bounce ideas.
