About Alex

Alex Cruz is a latin-American actor born in El Salvador. Alex Immigrated to Toronto Canada at the age of 6 years of age. At the age of 16 he began entertaining as an electronic music DJ playing for clubs and outdoor venues, a passion that he continues even today. After a series of life changing events Alex decided to leave his career in teaching to pursue the entertainment business more seriously. Training regularly and rigorously in Strasberg, Meisner, Adler, Shurtleff, Hagen, and Stanislavsky acting techniques in Miriam Laurence's Studio in Toronto. Simultaneously he has worked on developing his singing voice in Deborah Staiman's Singing Studio, becoming very proficient in musical theatre, popular and Jazz singing techniques. Alex' passion for acting has taken him into the production side of things as well where he can create roles for himself and others. Alex Cruz is an incredibly versatile actor ready to take on complex roles such as; Protagonist or Antagonist alike. Favourite Genres; Dramas, Comedies, Cult/Sci Fi.
