In the beginning, Alexander had opportunities in almost every technical position in theatre, and went on to direct several plays. He received an Adjudicator's Award for 'Innovation, for Incorporating Animation, Computer-Generated Effects and Film Sequences with Live Actors' in The Wizard of Oz and received a similar Thea Award for Singin' in the Rain for which he made it rain across the stage.
Over the years he has also worked in several capacities in film and television, learning from the bottom up. He then started writing his own short films to gain directing experience and has won several awards in film festivals all over the world including The Missing Piece, Winner Silver Remi Award for Suspense Thriller at the WorldFest Houston and Star Wars: Blasted Behavior, Winner of Best Foreign Sci-Fi Film Award at the New York International Film Festival.
Alexander is also a writer and published his award-winning debut novel in 2012: DEPTH OF DECEPTION (A Titanic Murder Mystery). Before that, Alexander was the ghostwriter for a Gothic novel which was on the New York Times Best Seller list, and co-writer of the corresponding screenplay that was briefly optioned.
