About Christine

There are many Hollywood stories out there, but Christine's must be one of the more peculiar ones. From herding goats in the Norwegian mountains to becoming a featured soloist and Norse lyricist in Disney's Frozen, it somehow seems like everything has been orchestrated for her to finally end up in Hollywood.

Christine developed her unique singing technique while herding goats in the majestic Norwegian mountains as a young girl. Having no formal musical education, she felt as though she had a long way to go when she moved to Sweden in 2002 to pursue her musical education. She couldn’t read music nor play any instruments, yet she composed various works using a digital audio workspace. In 2003 she applied to and was accepted into the two year long music production course at Stockholm’s Music Conservatory. This prepared her for further education at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm´s Music and Media Production program for 4,5 years, before she was one of the 4 students accepted every 3 years to the Royal College of Music and The Dramatical Institute’s Master in Film Composition. This prepared her well for the SMPTV program at USC Thornton in Los Angeles. Christine was accepted to USC in 2012 and got funded by Swedish grants, despite her Norwegian citizenship.
When Christophe Beck and Disney asked her to contribute with lyrics and her distinct Norwegian vocals in the snowy animation Frozen, a movie inspired by the very landscapes that first sparked her dreams and need to express herself, it felt as though it was an answer to all her dreams.
The short film, «Calling the Aurora», was Christine´s latest project. It showed at the UNESCO World Art Day Gala in Down Town Los Angeles on April 13th, 2016.
This June Christine will be in Norway working with ancient Norwegian instruments and the voices from the Natives of Norway, the Sami people, in a new Viking movie.

Unique traits: Nordic, Scandinavian viking music. Vocal film music, songs custom made for films, the sound of nature, good at scoring animations, Norse lyricist, English, Norwegian and Swedish lyricist.
