About Lon

Thanks But No Thanks Productions is an independent production house for film, web and design. Originally launched in 1995 by Lon Lopez as a record label for such bands as Statue Man and The Booty Call, TBNT soon found itself producing feature films, digital videos, television commercials, and more music. Soon after, the company branched out into graphic design, creating promotional materials such as CD covers, flyers and T-shirts, which eventually evolved into web creation and development.

The main focus of TBNT has been multi-media production. Over its almost twenty years of business, TBNT has had it’s fair share of success and notoriety.

One of its first digital shorts, Oh Yeah, won first place in the Wizard Magazine’s Direct to Video 4 Contest. Oh Yeah also went on to show at the Cinequest Film Festival as well as Wondercon 2004 and the video currently has over 800,00 views on You Tube.

TBNT also launched the successful comedy site, Moron Life, which currently has a You Tube channel with over one million unique views. Moron Life has also been, featured on iTunes, G4 TV, The New York Post, The Washington Post, The Toronto Star, Inside Edition and The Dr. Demento Show.

The TBNT produced documentary, Rock the Block: The Story of the Cactus Club, opened up the Left Coast Live Music Festival and later earned director Lopez a CreaTV award for Filmmaker in the Feature category.

Currently, TBNT is in the works of its latest production, A.F.A.M. (Action Figure Action Movie) with its first installment, The Setback, showing in the Action on Film Fest, The Wizard World Film Fest and the Famous Monsters of Film Land Film Festival where it won for best short Animation.

Currently TBNT is promoting the release of the second chapter in the A.F.A.M. saga - C.O.B.A.L.T.
