My friends and I spent about 15 min in the theatre after the credits were over just dumbfounded. I usually NEVER say this due to the obvious cliche, but I must say it was potentially the BEST movie I have EVER seen. Everything from the main plot to the score was phenomenal. Anyone else seen it? Any comments?
I saw it and Cinematographically it was amazing! I was really mind fucked with the story, even after leaving the theater I was still caught up on the story 3 hrs later.
I agree...I saw it and was like "Whoa...whoa...WHOA!" =) It was a great movie!

Expand commentI'm surprised. I thought it was well below average. I couldn't root for any of the characters. SPOLIERS The start dragged. The Indian drone scene was related to nothing. Far too much exposition when they set off on the mission to explore space. The physics was laughable at best. Humans as the 5 dimensional beings who created a physical way to communicate with gravity? Moving the seconds hand of the watch? The one rule they established about not being able to go back in time, they broke. The 'science' was so fudged. At least the spectacle of Gravity had a more engaging character.

Expand commentThe dialogue was difficult to understand through much of the movie, but I think most of that was performance. I thought the mix was ok, except during the loud dramatic scenes…there was a lot of commotion going on at the same time, and loud (very loud) music over that, and the actors exchanging dialogue, even excitedly raising their voices at times, and you still could not hear what they were saying…. I wasn't sure if it was mixed that way on purpose or not… and then during those same scenes music and fx would peak, but not hit the top and then back off, but it would stay there for several seconds and it sounded bad. The loudness and not being able to understand the dialogue during those moments didn't really bug me, but the distorted mix over the top made me grind my teeth some. The soundtrack is wonderful, and I highly recommend purchasing the CD. The music is an important element in any picture, however, movies are 50% picture & 50% sound (not 50% music). If you can't understand the dialogue, you've lost your audience. I love the theme concept of the movie, however, the mix certainly could have been better. Additionally, I do not think McConaughey was the best choice for the lead role, and Hathaway was just ok (my opinion), but I loved Jessica Chastain! The sound is the biggest issue here, though, and brought the level of the movie down. It could have been a lot better. http://www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/style/critics-notebook-interstel... and http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/movie-theater-blames-christopher-n...
I loved it! A beautiful love story. The score reached a bit for me in the beginning.

For Series B, I have a logline and am working on the pilot episode script. So is a pitch a logline + pilot episode script? Is it a filmed 10 minute short "episode" of the show? Any comments help. Thanks in advanced!
Thanks for the notes, Joey! I will definitely implement those. So last question...a pitch would consist of a pilot episode script and a treatment?
I think you are missing the point of a pitch. You may need a script to back up what you are saying but you have to talk in a pitch and Joey teaches this stuff. But I'm thinking what you are trying to...

But I'm thinking what you are trying to come up with at this point is an elevator pitch. Basically what would you say to an executive on an elevator and you know they are getting off on the 10th floor?
Interesting question. I've never done a TV pitch before, Chez please let us know when you will be pitching and how it goes. All the best to you in this endeavor.
Thank you very much for your help and insight! I'll definitely keep you all posted. Thanks again!

I had always wanted to become an actress since I can remember. I started chasing my dream when I had came back from Iraq. I served my country for 6 years and still am. My military experience has taught me so much and still is. While in Iraq I had realized life is too short and that you can't sit in your dreams. Nobody is going to make it happen but yourself. Now nothing is going to stop me. I wish everybody here a successful career and never give up.
Thank You
