About Charley

I know how to tell a great story.
Pour blood, sweat and tears into an idea that keeps you up nights, uncover its most fascinating nooks and crannies, identify unusually compelling characters, film in innovative and visually exciting ways, write and edit to bring out the best moments in the footage, and don’t run out of money!

I am a seasoned field producer/director.
I have filmed in 10 countries on 4 continents, supervising multi-camera crews (on land, sea and in the air), directing on-camera hosts, shooting second camera, recording sound, and even acting in recreations when needed.

I know the nuts and bolts of production.
Writing, shooting and editing are glamorous, but without the kind of strong budgeting, logistics, and digital media management abilities I have, none of them happen. In addition, I am skilled in supervising a team, meeting deadlines, communicating with clients, executives and vendors, and juggling many tasks without dropping any.
