As family-friendly companies such as Disney and Pixar have proven time and again, ‘Story is King’ and with more than twelve years of visual storytelling experience within the realms of live-action film and animation film-making, I am uniquely qualified to assist companies and individuals share with the world their own stories.
After earning my Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, I spent more than a decade with Walt Disney Feature Animation contributing to such classics as THE LION KING, MULAN and LILO & STITCH. Working at Disney exposed me to multiple artistic disciplines, including story design, screenwriting, storyboarding, character design/animation, visual effects and prop design/animation, layout design and production management, to name a few.
Since my departure from Disney in 2003, I’ve worked tirelessly to hone my craft; creating stories and characters for the web, the stage and the big and small screens, as well as for picture books and middle-grade/young adult novels. When not working on my own projects, I partner creatively with other professionals as a freelance writer, illustrator and story consultant. Notable clients include the Walt Disney Company and the production leadership team behind the 2009 feature film BROTHERS.
