Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, is not the only former University of Miami football player making films. Meet Filmmaker Darren A. Saunders who's considered a rising talent from Miami, Florida in the film entertainment community. His works have recently been recognized at the 2012 American Black Film Festival for winning the "Community Showcase Competition" for his short film "MAKE-UP". Darren’s works have been recognized by Ralph Scott the Executive Producer for BET J’s and BET film/TV. Darren was inspired by conversations with Bret Ratner, Robin Cowie, Jerry Seinfeld, Will Packer, & Michael Bay, for pointing him in the right direction in film production. Darren is a brilliant storyteller and wants to establish his brand of films, which expands into all genres, from horrors, dramas, comedies, sci-fi, and action based thrillers.
