Arnaud was born in Paris in 1978 and will hopefully die a celebrated screenwriter-filmmaker somewhere on a beach of a forgotten Carribean Island, around 2075. (Heart-attack scores high on a probable cause of death, but no one is immune to a tragic yet poetic odd coconut accident. So who knows?)
Growing up, Arnaud learned that talent was important but perspiration was paramount to success. Blessed with an easy-going personality, he thankfully never had to smoke pot, drink alcohol or snort anything to be creative. Writing, acting, singing, playing guitare, drawing, - basically every sort of art - participated in his development as a DIY artist and shaped his way of learning things.
Arnaud started his globetrotter lifestyle at 18 when he decided that France was definitely more sclerotic than erotic.
His first stop was England, where he survived a year without drinking one drop of Lager but serving lots of it to entertaining brits. He got hooked on the english language, specifically on british humour and has tried ever since to practice it whenever he can.
Back to France to study Communication, he escaped yet again to Germany where he graduated 3 years later. There he won his first prize at a congress for advertising in Berlin, ahead of 600 heavily armed german contestants and is still fondly remembered for having sang «You’re my heart, you’re my soul» to the better half of Modern Talking’s singer duo.
Next was Montreal, where he happily worked for one of the biggest Film Festival of Quebec. Then came Geneva where he worked for a while in the communication industry and decided, at some point, that he could put his brain power and good heart to better use as a career coach. Writing literally hundreds of resumes and cover letters turned out to be a surprisingly good training for his next career : becoming a screenwriter / filmmaker.
After 10 years in Switzerland, Arnaud moved to the ever-exciting city of Berlin, where he just finished writing his first feature script and where he jumps at every opportunity to write, direct or act in movies.
He won 3 prizes at film festivals so far and is really looking forward to his new life as a professional storyteller, cracking jokes and coconuts... before they crack him open.
