Lee Citron is an award winning writer and director residing in Los Angeles, California. Originally from Millburn, NJ, he went on to study film at Loyola Marymount University and received his Masters degree in Directing from the American Film Institute (AFI).
His short film, MARTIAN AMERICAN won the first prize Emmy for best comedy student film in 2015 from the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Best Short Film at the Ft Lauderdale Film Festival, Best Actor at the LA Comedy Fest, and Best Script at the Austin Other Worlds Sci-Fi Film Festival among other official selections and awards. His short, ANDROID LOVE, premiered at the Newport Beach Film Festival was an official selection at the ICG Emerging Cinematographer Awards. His film, IDIOT BOX won Best Short Film at the Albuquerque Film Festival and the Film Outside the Frame Awards at the DGA after premiering on PBS.
He believes in bringing joy, empathy, imagination, and entertainment into the world with his character driven, sci-fi comedies.
He is currently developing a slate of feature film and television projects and wishes he had a dog.
