UNDAUNTED, based on true life of slave and activist Harriet Jacobs, is a powerful, dramatic story, with humor sprinkled throughout, book ended by Harriet's relationship with Frederick Douglass. The #MeToo movement meets 12 YEARS A SLAVE. The Harriet Tubman film, which did well, is an excellent precursor.
I’ve seen and read some of Susan’s work. She is an excellent writer whose uplifting plays and screenplays are imbued with passion and intelligence and great conflict. She is definitely someone that you will want to work with!
