About Mauricio

Over the last years I worked on several awarded short and feature films, such as "Amália”, which was released in 22 countries, “The Human Centipede”, screened in Cannes and awarded on several film festivals and more recently "The Eagleman Stag", which won the Best Animated Short at the 2011 BAFTA awards and “Splitscreen: A Love Story”, winner of the Nokia Shorts competition 2011.

Having completed the two year Sound Design MA at the NFTS, I’ve been invited to work for the BBC Radio 4 on “Ten Lessons in Love”. Along with a few other projects already confirmed, I’ve recently finished mixing the feature western “Hay Road”, directed by Rodrigo Areias as well as the Sound Design for seven short films for the Amsterdam Museum, in Holland.
