I have people that know me who aren't afraid to tell me the truth about what I wrote to read my scripts, then give me feedback or questions. You want to give this to a number of different people and listen to what they have to say. Does the story make sense to them? Is the story believable? If a comedy, do they actually laugh? You get where I'm going...let other people tell you what you are missing or if it makes sense. If they have a lot of questions, chances are you have fundamental flaws in the writing or the storyline. My instructor always told me..."Writing is rewriting."

Kiam, perhaps post this in the JOBS section found in the upper menu bar. That's where members post various "want ads" or searches for creative partners—paid or not paid. Or, perhaps utilize the CONNECT feature, also found in the upper menu bar, and search our membership by location—reach out to specific people in your area. The forums are for topic discussion. The only reason to buy a camera for a shoot is if you can rent that camera back to the production so it costs you less. Don't forget you are not just buying a camera, you are buying, tripod, lenses, matt box, follow focus, batteries, memory cards, monitors, cases, the list goes on. If you must buy one, go play with some in the rental house and see what you like (give them something to say thnakyou). It's always a good idea to have a good relationship with a rental house even when you own a camera. As when your camera breaks down on set, you need to replace/fix at you're own cost asap.

Kiam - Nikon video is incredibly underrated. I've had the D5200 a few years now, they have the same sensor, and it can make stunning quality. I've had a film projected at a full size movie theater and it looks great!

I guess because I started on canon is why I leaned towards canon. Whenever I had Nikon footage it was really bad but that just could have been because of the operator. But with how canon isn't keeping up with how technology is moving. I'm definitely looking more into the Sony cameras.
