Born in Puerto Rico, Ana Soler has performed on stage and screen for 30 years. After earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Emerson College, she moved to New York to continue her studies at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and the Elaine Aiken Actors Conservatory. She began working professionally at the Spanish Repertory Theatre in 1992.
In 1996, her work took her to Colombia where she has had a prolific career in film, theater and television. Her filmography includes: “Position Viciada” (1997), “Sin Amparo” (2001), “Bolívar Soy Yo” (2002), “La Otra Familia” (2011) and “Mariposas Verdes” (2017). She has also played numerous roles in Colombian television series and soap operas.
She has directed three short films: "The Ascent" (2014), "The Dusk of Dawn" (2017), "One Night with Dad" (2017). She has written two feature scripts: "The Best Day" (2014) and "One Way Ticket" (2021). She has also directed the plays "Así me imaginas" in Colombia (2016) and "She Kills Monsters" by Qui Nguyen at the Emilio Belaval Theater in Puerto Rico (2019).
