Tao Zervas

Tao Zervas is a music composer and producer based in New York City. Born in Athens, Greece he has lived and worked in NYC for over 30 years. He brings to his work many years of experience in the alternative rock scene as a songwriter, producer and guitar player for the critically acclaimed bands Summer Suspiria and Soulpusher. Tao has been steadily devoting most of his creative output towards scoring for picture and is currently the creator of numerous soundtracks for film, television and commercial media, as well as sound design and gallery installations. Acknowledged for his ability to meld his clients’ artistic vision and commercial needs with artistic innovation, Tao’s music is well known for its depth,originality, integrity and attention to detail.

“ The Sleeping Giants” : Producing, composing and recording the music for a tribute album to the music artists that created the progressive rock scene of the 70’s with the participation of many of these same artists. Est. album release: Ongoing

“The Greek Spy 2”: A follow up to the successful Greek Spy release, Spring 2009.

“Shutterbug” : Ambient electronic film score for the feature film directed by Minos Papas in 2008. After a festival run the film was commercially released in the USA in the Spring of 2010 along with the soundtrack album which received great reviews.

“ Absolute Calm”: Film score for the short film directed by Roey Shmool. July 20. Shown at the Cannes film festival May 2008.

“The Greek Spy”: Album release. A unique blend of World music with IDM and Electronica. Winter 2006. A number of the tracks from the album have been licensed on different mediums worldwide. 

”Julia”: Tribute album for Julia Zervas who was the singer of Soulpusher 2006-2007. Tao Zervas wrote, produced and recorded all the music.

”Inharmony (Secret Paths)”: Film score for the international feature film by acclaimed director Michael Papas. 2004.
