Michael Rigler

Michael Rigler is a filmmaker, visual artist and musician. He grew up and started his artistic training early in Montreal. While still a teenager, he began a freelance career in film, photography and illustration. Later he went on to study fine arts at Vanier and film and photography at Ryerson.

He has worked as a television director, videographer, editor, journalist, filmmaker and photographer. He and his wife Tara Manuel launched Shadowy Souls Productions in 2009 and have been producing and touring original shadow puppetry shows, cabarets, documentaries and short films. His first feature film, The Tentacle’s Claw, won best Foreign Comedy Feature at the Atlanta Horror Film Festival.
