Greetings from a newbie in Minneapolis. I'm about to embark on a quest to get some story ideas in front of some directors and producers who may have an interest, if I can find the right people to pitch. Accordingly, I'm looking to network with pro's -- members who are willing to provide pro advice and guidance in finding the right people to pitch -- and to develop relationships that will advance our mutual interests. I've had a full life and a full career, so I'm not pinning my hopes on fame & fortune in the television industry. And I'm not naive about the prospects for success, but my feeling is nothing ventured -- nothing gained. I have good instincts about what works and what doesn't, which shows will tank and which ones will soar, proven-out over many years. That's partly because I live in middle-America and I know middle-American tastes, values and interests and partly because I've learned what makes a ripping good yarn, which is why I'm joining this group.
