About Chelsea

Chelsea Alana Rivera is a NYC-born / Texas-raised actress, writer, and creator that was born with a burning desire to do one thing and one thing only: perform Ricky Martin on Karaoke. Unfortunately, she soon found that she couldn't survive on the applause alone and decided to head west and check out a different coast. After graduating from The University of Texas with a degree in Television & Film, Chelsea embraced her inner show pony and began her professional pursuit of acting and writing.

As an actor, Chelsea has had the pleasure of performing in multiple films, television shows, web series, and even as a stand-up at the famed Hollywood Improv. Most recently, Chelsea has appeared in the upcoming Latino reboot of Father of the Bride, opposite Cole Sprouse in Moonshot, and opposite Alfonso Herrera in Ozark. You can also see Chelsea as Alex in Female Friendly, a role that got her a nomination for "Best Actress" at Austin Web Fest! You can stream the first season of Female Friendly on the digital platform, Seeka TV!

As a writer/creator, Chelsea's series, Female Friendly, screened at multiple festivals, including HollyShorts, Austin Web Fest, and iO's LA Scripted Comedy Festival. Most recently, her comedic pilot, All Mixed Up, won Best Short Episodic in the Screencraft TV Pilot Script Competition. She intended to put the prize money away for taxes but then forgot and instead, used it to buy an under desk treadmill that she has used once.
