After her son, Eric, is killed in a car crash, Julie sees his ghost. A couple of days later, she gets a visit from a man from her past who claims Eric directed him to her house. Eric stays earthbound for almost a year to comfort his mom. He needs to hear Julie say she will be okay before he will cross over. Julie is convinced by other people that she should let him go. She finds her way to the people and things that aid in her healing while realizing that Eric is never very far away. Dancing With Life is based on a true story.
