This is my first post on here; in fact, I haven't logged in or been writing much for a while due to other commitments. However, my short script, 'Fleeting Nirvana' which I wrote in 2019 that got picked up by NYC director/actor Mike Phoenix has now been finished and is doing the rounds in the festival circuits. I now have my first IMDb credit which I'm very proud of.
What has really motivated me to think about writing again though is my feature script, 'DE MORAY'. This feature tells the story of Scotland's unsung hero, the compatriot and friend of William Wallace - Andrew (De Moray) Murray. Not the tennis player... this badass swings a sword instead.
I entered the script in a couple of competitions last year and kind of just focused on other things. I have now received very encouraging results that have given me a second wind to push this project again.

My Coverfly score is rising and I am now motivated once more to return to the laptop. Perseverance is key. All the best to all the writers out there!
Congrats!
Thank you very much, Diana, Kenneth, Maurice and Rutger!
You're welcome, Rory.

He is keeping in touch to stay in tune with my vision for the story and I hope this is the beginning of a great creative friendship. First real success in the books! Time to keep writing.

I had a finalist placing with my feature “De Moray”, which follows the life of a 13th century Scots noble during the Wars of Independence. I will enter another comp tonight. Zero Gravity Management have requested the script just last month off the back of a query letter; no word yet, but you never know.
In other works, I’m polishing off a TV Pilot for a limited series which follows the Scots noble and his alliance with a commoner; this is to pitch from all angles in case a feature may not work for the market right now. Lastly, I’m a third of the way through a horror feature that I hope to really make progress with in the next few months.
Best of luck with everyones’ projects.
Rory.
A bolshie but lovable young noble, and a Herculean commoner hell-bent on revenge, lead the resistance against a tyrannical overlord.
Love it!!!!!!!!!!!!
A bolshie but lovable young noble rouses a nation and spits defiance in the face of a tyrannical overlord to free his father and his country.
