This is a great, creative blog, Monica. If I had a DIY Screenwriting Diploma as a new writer, it would've helped me out enormously.

Thanks, Amanda. I wish you all the best. Breaking in is tough, but success is just that much sweeter. Keep the smile, girl.

When that happens, you won't be able to stop your head from spinning. Heads up and prayer are good things, but don't forget the work. We all need to continue polishing our craft, until we can no longer do so. That won't be for a long time, I suspect. :-) If I hear of things that fit your talents, I'll be sure to point them in your direction. It can't hurt for people to look at you.

Expand commentThe pleasure is all mine, dear lady. I must say, "slightly" determined is the RIGHT attitude to have. I wish more people shared it. I've had the grave displeasure of working (recently) with some less-than-enthusiastic people. Honestly, some of the women (I think) believe because they have tits that they'll make it as a model (or whatever). I don't even shoot nudes!!! It's an amazing world.
I do think a lot of girls think that, just because they are hot and have a nice rack and ass that they can do whatever they want, modeling or not. It's sick. The worst part is, there are plenty of peo...
Expand commentI do think a lot of girls think that, just because they are hot and have a nice rack and ass that they can do whatever they want, modeling or not. It's sick. The worst part is, there are plenty of people out there that will hand them money because of that anyway. I myself, much rather work for my money, and actually use real talent over looks. People do have some horrible attitudes in this business, and quite frankly, they think they are hot shit, when they are not. Those are the ones that refuse to work at bettering themselves, since they already think they are better than everyone else. I wont lie, it is a great thing to believe in yourself, but people need to open their eyes and see that, you can always get better. =] And I do agree with your statement...It is an amazing world....filled with crazy people. =P
Hey Al, I'm the CTO and lead developer at Stage32.com. Please let me know if you have any questions or feedback about the site. I'd love to hear your comments!
Pleasure. I'm mostly looking for models for my book covers. I have a YA series coming soon, and many projects following. You didn't have a model category. That would be a nice improvement. Good luck with this site. It seems to fill a real need. I'll return often, and with friends. :-)

In a world filled with people trying to sell their courses and training, a DIY diploma is an outrageous, radical, silly, ingenious, rebellious idea. I love it.
