Hi everyone,
My name is Michelle and I am currently writing original drama for television. I am a great fan of the political thriller and legal/police dramas, but don't put me in a corner just yet... I am also a huuuge fan of science fiction, especially from the 70's & 80's, and rarely turn down an opportunity to revel in a good love story. I first started editing short films on my super 8 cam in the early nineties and in 2001 worked with City University to set up the first UK part-time short courses in 16mm filmmaking, with an introduction into the television industry, enlisting the help of a local film director and then later with an incredibly talented director from the New York Film Academy. It continues today as a 'digital filmmaking' course.
I am an architect, but currently writing full-time if you exclude schooling my children.. (who am I kidding, they're old enough to look after themselves!) I have owned three (now defunct) businesses, but will never say no to a good idea. I am a writer for hire... no job too small. Currently I have 4 TV drama seasons in various states of complete and several treatments, as well as a feature and a theatrical play.
I believe every great story has a question that forces an audience to challenge their world view. I want to write film and television that asks questions and inspires change, and can resonate with people long after they are over.
I am here to connect so feel free to make contact any time, my presence on this forum may be delayed due to the eight-hour time difference, but I will always endeavour to respond to comments.
I look forward to hearing your stories.
