About Melanie

I am an actress who got tired of waiting for someone to give me a role, so I became a writer and started writing roles for myself. I am a writer who got tired of waiting for someone to turn my screenplays into films, so I became a filmmaker and started making my own films. Now I'm a filmmaker who makes films from scripts that I've written that have roles that I can play! That's not to say that I don't play roles in other people's films (because I do) or that I don't write films for other people to make (because I do that too) or that I don't make films that other people have written (because, yeah, you guessed it, I do). It's just to say that I am an actress/writer/filmmaker who is determined to take as much control of my career as I can in a crazy industry where so much is out of our control.
