During a recent trip I went to Oxford (in the UK) and I was so enthralled with the city I started taking photos of the shops and bars, everything from the modern to the very old. I decided it might be an interesting challenge to recreate some of them to start a building library.

A quick breakdown of how I put this shot together. I filmed the shot of the kids walking across a field just quickly on my iPhone. I then made the western village in Blender and composited it all together in After Effects. #blender3d #blenderrender #vfx #breakdowns #western #wersterntown

I've wanted to do something like this for a long time. I've tried various tricks and methods but I'm thrilled with how this one has turned out with a lot of help from @raffovfx7984 and some of his great tutorials on his Patreon. So how did I do it?

Every now and then a project comes along that you can really get your teeth into. This was definitely one of them. Really enjoyed working on this one. It started off as a still image but it felt really cinematic so I expanded it into a small animated scene.
