PERFECT DAY
By Matthew Parvin

GENRE: Romance, Drama
LOGLINE: A married woman in her forties spends a day in a city park trying to decide between her crumbling family life and a younger man with whom she’s having an emotional affair.

SYNOPSIS:

Sarah Zilker (40) arrives at Rumi Park torn. Behind her is home; a marriage of fifteen years with her husband Mark and her two sons Bruce (15) and Tyler (13). There is love, yes, but coldness, distance and silent vexations that have eroded their bonds over time. Before her is Rumi Park, and David Wills (33). They met here weeks ago by chance. Both attempting to escape a dreary sales conference across the street. An evening of walking and talking through fragrant darkness led to something. Love? Maybe. Lust? Most definitely. For Sarah, a bright light exploded inside of her at the possibility of meeting her soulmate. For David, a hope that someone would accept him for who he truly is. And for both, a kiss and a promise: to meet again one week later and pick up where they left off that night. So now, Sarah is here at the precipice. As she makes her way down the walking path in the cold light of an autumn day, memories tug her heart back and forth between the the life she has and the life she could have. Will she or won’t she?
