About Uchenna

Uchenna Amajoyi is a Nigerian-American SoCal (Southern California) native, social/collaborative artist, screenwriter, SAG/AFTRA-eligible actor, and ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis)/ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) advocate. Born and raised in San Bernardino, CA to Nigerian parents (descendant of Orlu, Imo State), he graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in World Arts and Cultures from the School of Arts and Architecture. Since then, he previously resided in the East San Francisco Bay Area and Phoenix, Arizona, while primarily & currently residing in the greater Los Angeles area for nearly a decade. He has worked in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis as an RBT and Special Education Paraeducator for over 5 years, working with autistic/developmentally-challenged youth between the ages of 3-18. He also possesses a diverse, extensive resume of experience as a production assistant, actor, office assistant/receptionist, and creative collaborator, most notably winning two straight AT&T Create-A-Thon short film competitions in San Francisco in 2017 & 2018. He is currently in the process of updating and fleshing out his most recent work, “I Am A Joy,” a short film entry in the 2019 AT&T Create-A-Thon in Los Angeles. The primary goal going into 2023 is to see that “I Am A Joy” stands out as a full-fledged pilot & subsequent TV series predicated on his unique journey within the ABA field while experiencing life as a “fully functioning” yet struggling Nigerian-American on the autism spectrum.

Unique traits: 2nd-generation Nigerian-American Experience in Applied Behavior Analysis for over 5 years (worked with autistic youth from elementary school to high school) Played football at UCLA Fan (#Blerd) of Marvel & DC Comics and Professional Wrestling
