About Samuel

An aspiring writer with experience at NBCUniversal as an Office Production Assistant and at Paramount in that same position and as a Researcher for a Writers' room.

I bring a unique perspective when developing my writing process. My specialties are in Horror and Sci-Fi with characters that are emotionally grounded, but colorful and distinguished in terms of their personalities. In terms of Sci-Fi, I enjoy delving into the political mechanisms between the heroes and villains as well as the in-fighting between each of those groups. After all, those basic ideas of divisions of loyalties and strategies reflect real life. My approach to horror involves exploring the psychological make up of my characters and how their experiences shape them into who they become. They can either overcome their past experiences and move on with their lives, or let them define them, leading to tragic outcomes or consequences.

Influences over my works include esteemed writers such as Kevin Williamson, Mike Flanagan, Stephen King, Philip Pullman. I also love to indulge in British detective dramas and reading mystery novels), so those definitely leave a mark as well. Recently, I was honored with an Official Selection for the HorrOrigins 2024 Film Festival and am ecstatic for what the future brings.
