Here I am saying "HI" again to everyone. Last time I said I would be here more often and lied. So I will not say that now. I will say I have a new class with an excellent coach and will start to be more involved all around. Mostly learning all I can. I am in the acting side of things and just saw myself in the first episode of The Obi Wan Kenobi story.
So, "Hello" from near Hollywood!

Thanks Molly!
Thanks Amanda!
Okay, I'll stop lying (LOL) It was also great being on the webinar with Andy McPhee. Being picked to be a secret scene maker? was a fun time.
It was 4 days on set to make a 3 or 4 minute scene in the first episode of the Obi-Wan story. I was in the bar in the beginning of the episode. Just a featured role, and the ECU's they did of me ended up being cut. Oh well, that's show biz, right.
Welcome back, Dan Gregory. Where are you taking the class? What's ECU?

Dan Gregory, that sucks that the scene got cut, but what a great experience. 4 days on set for a 3-4 minute scene. What did you learn from that experience? Maybe you can share some advice for people in the community here to read.

Oh! Hello, I recall you from somewhere, maybe from your VO... Welcome back, and please, share all your wisdom and experience with us all.

Thanks everyone for interest.
Maurice, my class is in the NoHo Arts District, that's North Hollywood for those unfamiliar with the area. An ECU is Extreme Close Up. The camera was 15 - 20 inches from my face. Of course, do not look right down the barrel.
Thanks GiGi
Amanda, well the whole 4 days was not entirely on the one scene. There were fill shots to do. They also had to shoot the ship coming in and landing. There were other things being filmed that I don't readily recall. Advice? Hmm, well, be patient is key. Listen to the directors and PA's. Do not offer advice on what you think needs to be done, unless asked. There is a lot of what seems redundant, to us. We do not see what is seen in "Video Village" so just keep doing it over again. Hope that helps someone.
Thank you too, Laura. Wisdom and experience. WOW! I am still gaining/learning wisdom and experience myself. Anything in particular you are wondering about?

I would've never guessed what an ECU was, Dan Gregory. Haha Thanks for explaining.

How's it going, Dan Gregory? This is a different kind of ECU, but I live in a city where we have a university named ECU. Sandra Bullock went there.
