I was born in New York City. I have two published novels: “So You’re Cremated, Now What?” and ”Paper Ghosts: A Fenn Cooper Novel.” I had two screenplays optioned by Orion Pictures. I also write and direct ten-minute plays performed in Massachusetts and Manhattan. I studied film with Nicolas Ray and film history with Ken Jacobs. I’m the recipient of two Hatch Awards and grants from the New York State Council on the Arts, and the Massachusetts Arts Council. I have a finished script called "Dancing on a Tightrope.” Here is the logline for that: “A strikingly beautiful and determined Jewish woman, hunted by a ruthless SS officer, teams up with a daring Chilean diplomat in Nazi-occupied Paris to save hundreds from the death camps. Based on a true story about my mother in the French Resistance during WWII.” I would love to hear your experiences and suggestions for getting a script in front of people interested in this type of story.
