Introduce Yourself : Screenwriter in the Middle of the Learning Curve by Patricia Stepp

Patricia Stepp

Screenwriter in the Middle of the Learning Curve

Hello, everyone. My name is Patricia Stepp, most everyone calls me Patty. I've been lurking around here for a couple of months, getting the feel for things, and on some other sites as well. I am currently working on two projects: a series pilot in two parts, and a feature length screenplay for television or theater. My goal, for now, is simple, get one of them if not both produced and in front of audiences. It's taking me longer because i work a day job on the night shift at a warehouse.

And, since i have been in lurk mode, I am so glad to meet all of you here and please forgive me for not acknowledging you all before. When not at work, I am writing and.or rewriting. Welcome, everyone, and thank you for allowing me to lurk for a while.

Maurice Vaughan

Nice to meet you, Patricia Stepp. I used to be a lurker too (www.stage32.com/lounge/introduce_yourself/Maurice-Vaughan-Ex-Stage-32-Lu...). What genres are your projects?

Morne Patterson

Hi Patricia - my nickname at my golf club is also Patty :) Great to meet you and all the best!

Matthew Parvin

Welcome Patricia! Nice to meet you. Glad you're here.

Patricia Stepp

Thank you, all for the warm welcome!

Patricia Stepp

For those who asked, I have a one hour drama series pilot script and a science fiction movie script.

Maurice Vaughan

You're welcome, Patricia Stepp. What stages are you on with your projects?

Patricia Stepp

Maurice, I am at first draft stage--part one of the series pilot is written, first draft< and the other is not finished yet but moving steadily along. I usually have three projects going, I do have a novel to finish (book three of the Psychics of Psychorp trilogy). When I pause on one, I have another to keep me going.

Nikolas John

Hi Patricia. There are a lot of great people in this community. Never hesitate to reach out. I would be happy to read your theater piece.

Maurice Vaughan

Sounds great, Patricia Stepp. I like to have multiple projects going too. Usually a feature spec script or writing job, pitch deck, and short spec script. What type of Sci-Fi is your Sci-Fi script?

Niki H

Hi Patty, it's lovely to meet you! I'm happy you felt comfortable coming out of lurker status. We're all here to support each other.
