About Rich

Rich is a new writer of speculative fiction, and is adapting stories from his collection, "Fantastical," for the screen. This includes THE ELF THIEF and PANDORA'S DESTINY (feature animations), as well as WHEN MYRA MET SAM (feature sci-fi). Rich works with other members of Willamette Writers to develop quality fiction and screenplays. For Rich, a typical story starts with “What would it be like if...”. And then, the journey begins.

Before focusing on screenwriting, Rich had extensive experience as a business analyst, helping companies large and small understand how to best make use of their computers and electronic networks. He specialized in sales automation and other aspects of customer relationship management. He grew up in Ohio. He lived about 25 years in Silicon Valley, and before that in the Research Triangle Park, NC.

Rich has significant interests in science, history, and philosophy, which inform the stories in Fantastical and his screenplays.
