LOVE the Art of Pre-Production with Shane Stanley! Such good information! What do you guys think? What were your big take-aways? Feel free to share resources, feedback, and discussions below!
I have to say a great big THANK YOU to Shane for putting the importance on not just hiring a good cast (not just your family/friends), not just hiring a good DP, but also a fantastic Gaffer (lighting), a good Sound Mixer (on set), an editor, and of course - LOCATIONS! I love this priority list, and will happily promote it!
P.S. - this is the IATSE Google Search that Shane suggested: https://www.google.com/search?q=iatse+rates+2021&oq=IATSE+Rates&aqs=chro...

Excellent to learn some of the points I didn't know about. I've done too many indie shorts, and seen films fail by not having enough Pre done. Finishing first feature, but hoping to do first pro feature soon. Getting the script locked down. I'm in the SF area. Love to chat with folks in other areas

Whelp, I'm guessing most other folks have gone on with their lives. I got a lot out of this, and had a great time. Thanks all!

Hmm, I was in the lounge, but never saw anyone else here. I wonder if other folks had the same experience.

They all went to cocktails or work?
Some members lurk, too. It's okay, we leave it as an open invitation to discuss ;-) What are y'all working on? Are you in pre-production, or are you exploring your options for your Pitch Deck?
Thank you, Karen! This is very helpful. It was valuable to hear Shane's insights on properly executed pre-production.
You are most welcome, Mark Dispenza ! Agreed, Shane has such fantastic, and _actionable_ information!
Excellent! It's all in the prep!
