Doug Harris Media is of the opinion that doing a documentary film before starting a full-length feature film is the way to keep screenwriter from taking literary license or fits of fancy with a true story. I my opinion if the true story is good enough no need to fill it in with anything else. Here is the work in progress on a documentary of a true story which already has scripts written . Enjoy. And I would love to hear what folks have to say about this.

Also, what's the problem with taking literary license? The very act of crafting a compelling dramatic narrative out of true events requires literary license on its face. The biopics where it feels like actors are playing dress up and simply reenacting events are the worst ones.
