I only joined Stage 32 in May of this year and already I have had so many opportunities because of this site. Not only am I going to be assistant directing a short film with another member close to my hometown, but last night I did my first ever Skype pitch to producer, Joe Russo, who has just requested my script! I have no idea if anything will come of it, but it has been great experience none the less, as well as being a major confidence booster because somebody in another part of the world is interested in something I have written! Anyway, thanks Stage 32, you and everyone involved and part of your site have been great. Thanks for the opportunity!

Alex,that's great! What are some of the things you've done to get these results? Attended forums? Sent out messages? Searched for specific names in the network? Any suggestions for people who are just joining?

Thanks Catherine! Before signing up for the pitch session I had sent out emails to companies (with no luck) and had a consultation session with a Script Advisor. I would just reccomend taking part in a pitch session with a company or producer that sounds like a good match to your script. I've had two, the one I got this request for and the other I am still waiting on a reply for. Hope this helps.
